2025 CAF Awards to be held today in Rabat

It  marks the 3rd year in a row  for the prestigious gala to be held in the North African Country after the city of Marrakech hosted the 2023 and 2024 editions.

The 2025 CAF awards, which will recognise the best players , coaches  and teams over the past 1 year, will be held in Rabat, Morocco, tonight.

It  marks the 3rd year in a row  for the prestigious gala to be held in the North African Country after the city of Marrakech hosted the 2023 and 2024 editions.

The ceremony will be hosted by five-time Grammy Award-winning Beninese artist Angélique Kidjo and Moroccan comedian Oualass.

Performances will feature Congolese soukous musician Awilo Longomba and Ghanaian Afrobeats pioneer Fuse ODG.

The nominees for the men’s player of the year are Egypt and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, Paris Saint-Germain’s Achraf Hakimi from Morocco, and 2023 winner Victor Osimhen from Nigeria and Galatasaray.

Competing for the Goalkeeper of the Year award are Moroccan goalkeepers Yassine Bounou of Al Hilal and Munir Mohamedi from RS Berkane, alongside South Africa’s Ronwen Williams from Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Interclub Player of the Year contenders include Mohamed Chibi from Morocco and DR Congo’s Fiston Mayele, both from Pyramids, and Morocco’s Oussama Lamlioui.
