Latino superstar Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, better known as Bad Bunny, will headline the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show, the National Football League (NFL), Apple Music, and Roc Nation have announced.
The 3-time Grammy award winner and 12-time Latin Grammy award winner will lead the show from Levi’s Stadium on Feb. 8 in Santa Clara, California.
Expressing his joy at being selected the “MÍA” artist said this was “for his people”.
“What I’m feeling goes beyond myself,” Bad Bunny said in a statement. “It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture, and our history,”
The artist who has starred in such films as “Bullet Train,” “Caught Stealing” and “Happy Gilmore 2,” has always been a champion of the Puerto Ricans, something Roc Nation founder and rapper Jay-Z was quick to point out.
“What Bad Bunny has done and continues to do for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring. We are honoured to have him on the world’s biggest stage,” said Jay-Z.
In March 2025, the Guinness World Records hailed Bad Bunny as “one of the highest charting Latin music artists of all time.”
“His music has not only broken records but has elevated Latin music to the centre of pop culture, and we are thrilled to once again partner with the NFL and Roc Nation to deliver this historic performance to millions of fans worldwide,” said Oliver Schusser, the vice president of Apple Music and Beats. “We know this show will be unforgettable.”
Bad Bunny joins other prominent artists who have performed at the halftime show, including Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé, Rihanna, and more.
