Principal Secretary for Public Service, Dr Jane Imbunya, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to delivering efficient, citizen-centred services to Kenyans.

She made the commitment during her visit to the Huduma Contact and Tele-Counselling Centre (HCTC) at Teleposta Towers, Nairobi.

The visit is part of the government’s ongoing campaign to enhance public confidence in service delivery and ensure that government systems are responsive, inclusive, and accessible to all citizens.

Dr Imbunya praised the HCTC as a vital frontline support hub within the Huduma Kenya Programme, noting that it provides a comprehensive government response to public inquiries and streamlines appointment bookings for Huduma Centres nationwide.

She stressed the importance of the 1919 toll-free tele-counselling line, which offers confidential support to citizens seeking guidance, emotional assistance, or information regarding public services.

Accompanied by Huduma Kenya CEO Ben Kai Chilumo and other senior officials, the PS also engaged with the public and assessed the quality of frontline service delivery.

Dr Imbunya commended the infrastructure and staff at both facilities, reaffirming the government’s resolve to enhance the efficiency of service delivery, ensuring it is people-driven and digitally accessible.

Her visit comes amid renewed government efforts to strengthen citizen engagement and uphold accountability across all service points.
