Multi-agency security operation nabs nine suspects in Msambweni

Nine suspects linked to gangs in Msambweni Sub-County, Kwale County, were Friday arrested following an intelligence-led multi-agency operation. 

According to a statement by the National Police Service, upon an extensive search conducted during the operation, the security team recovered various items, including 11 machetes, five slashers, one hacksaw, four knives, 26 sachets of cannabis sativa, one toy gun, and one pair of scissors, among others.

Police say the suspects have been placed in custody pending processing and arraignment.

The Police continue to urge the public to fully cooperate with the security team by sharing crucial information to ensure the success of this operation.

“The National Police Service remains committed to safeguarding the lives and property of all citizens, residents, and visitors by combating all forms of criminal activity.” The statement read.
