Nairobi’s creative scene has a new home with the launch of Ultimate City, a creative studio and events hub located at 209 State House Road. Founded by musician and entrepreneur Dan Aceda, the space is designed to bring together artists, storytellers, and innovators under one roof.
The hub will host a range of events, including film screenings and premieres, live podcast recordings, art and fashion showcases, and intimate music performances.
It will also offer space for workshops, masterclasses, and product launches, making it a versatile spot for creatives and brands alike.
Aceda noted that Ultimate City intends to capture authentic Kenyan stories, particularly for younger audiences. Plans are underway for in-house productions, including interviews and conversations with creatives, to ensure that the hub not only provides a platform but also contributes original content to the cultural landscape.
“Our goal is to create a space where ideas are shared, stories are told, and new projects can come to life. Nairobi has an incredible pool of talent, and Ultimate City is here to provide both the platform and the support,” Aceda said.
The launch comes at a time when Nairobi’s creative sector which is part of the Orange Economy, is experiencing rapid growth. However, many creators still face challenges such as limited infrastructure, mentorship, and funding. Ultimate City seeks to bridge this gap by offering a well-equipped, youth-friendly space where ideas can be tested, shared, and amplified.
