Para-volley team expectant ahead of Continental championships

Kenya will be represented by 14 men and women Para volley players in the upcoming African championship which will be held in the country from the 1st to 10th of July at Kasarani stadium.

The team is already in non-residential training with the final team set to be announced this Friday, according to the  Kenya Para volley Secretary General Justus Katumo.

The  Africa Para volley championship  will be used as a qualifier to this year’s world championship set to be held in October in the United States.

The African event will see  the top two finishers for men and women qualify for the World championship in October.

The Kenyan team will be going for the top honours this time around after the women’s team secured a silver medal behind Rwanda during the 2024 Africa sitting volleyball championship held in Lagos Nigeria.

The men’s team also demonstrated resilience, with a notable 3-2 over Nigeria in the opening match.
