Grammy award-winning songwriter, Bensoul, will be the next celebrity victim at Roast House Comedy’s next event dubbed ‘The Roast of Bensoul’ set for May 31.

Roast House is the first comedy show of its kind in Kenya with a number of celebrity roasts under its belt, including Boniface Mwangi, Sanaipei Tande, Kagwe Mungai, Nviiri, Nameless, Bensoul, Avril, Prezzo, P-Unit, Jua Cali and Abel Mutua.

Calling Bensoul the “roastee”, the organisers invited guests for a night of fun and laughter.

“Announcing Bensoul as our official ROASTEE for the biggest Comedy Live Experience of the year — Roast House Comedy!” the announcement said. “Will he survive the heat, or get flame-grilled by the baddest comedians in the game? A night of fun, laughter & creation of nothing but good memories!”

Roast House is co-produced by Eugene Mbugua’s D&R Studios (behind Sol Family, Kyalo Kulture, This Love and The Real Housewives of Nairobi) and the Stand-Up Collective’s team of comedians that includes Doug Mutai, Ty Ngachira, Amandeep Jagde, and Justine Wanda.

Other comedians from Stand-Up Collective include Ciku Waithaka, Ruth Nyambura, George Waweru, David Macharia, Maina Murumba, John Ribia, Eric Lu Savali, Bashir Yusuf, Emmanuel Kisiangani, Maina Munene, Stan Saleh, Jack Nanjero, Davy Kimanzi and Darren Collins.

To understand what to expect from the live show, all episodes from previous roasts are available to stream on Showmax.
