Naiposha Gardens in Limuru was the place to be as hundreds of people turned up for the Caribbean brunch.
The event, themed ‘tidal wave – an electrifying celebration of Caribbean vibes riding the wave of freedom, rhythm and bold expression,’ brought a taste of Caribbean culture to Kenya.
The dress code was citrus hues, and the guests did not disappoint. They showed up in vibrant oranges, yellows and lime greens.
For 12 hours straight, the music line-up featured a rotation of top Kenyan DJs, including Kaneda, ZJ Heno, Tadgue, Andie and Spinstar.
The event was powered by Gordon’s, the world’s No. 1 international gin. They brought a range of signature cocktails that were perfect for daytime sipping.
Caribbean inspired dishes including jerk chicken and plantains complemented traditional brunch fare.
“This was my first time attending the Caribbean Brunch and I can confidently say it won’t be my last,” said Joel Williams Onyango, a first-time guest at the event. “The music kept me and my girlfriend dancing the entire time and the food was equally good.”
This event reflects a growing trend in Kenya where event organizers are opting for unique locations outside the usual spots in Nairobi.
