A total of 146 golfers are set to take part in the NCBA Windsor Classic  scheduled March 7-9th at the Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club.

The golfers drawn from host Country Kenya , Uganda, and Rwanda will vie for the top prizes in what’s expected to be  a thrilling 54-hole Stroke play Championship.

The championship has also attracted five top female players: Naomi Wafula, Kellie Gachaga, Margeret Njoki, Bianca Ngecu, and Diana Mbuba.

With a highly competitive field, players will compete over three days, with the first two rounds of the tournament determining the top 33 players, along with ties, who will make the cut to advance to the final round on Sunday, March 9th.

The tournament boasts a prize pool of 500,000 Kenya Shillings, with the winner set to walk away with 115,400 Kenya Shillings, making it a highly sought-after event in the amateur golf calendar.

The defending champion, Michael Karanga, will be returning to the course to defend his title in what promises to be a nail-biting competition.

“The NCBA Windsor Classic is officially recognized as a World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) event, offering players the opportunity to earn valuable ranking points as they vie for the championship,” said Chris Kinuthia, the Tournament Director. “The competition will be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by the R&A Rules Limited, the Kenya Amateur Golf Championship (KAGC) Local Rules, KAGC Qualifying Event Requirements, and any additional local rules as approved by the Tournament Committee.”
