Long queues were also witnessed at the stadiums’s main gates as people passed through security checks for screening.

Police have also intensified patrols and surveillance to ensure safety of all attendees.

President William Ruto is expected to land at the Kerenga Airstrip by 8.00am and will then proceed to the venue to lead Kenyans in the celebrations alongside First Lady Rachel Ruto.

Entertainment groups and disciplined forces will be performing as is the tradition in all Mashujaa celebrations.

After the celebrations, dignitaries and invited guests will proceed to the County Commissioner’s residence for the State garden party.
