Kenyan Afro-pop artist Keemlyf is set to release his brand-new single, “Outside,” marking his debut release under Universal Music Group East Africa (UMG).

According to him, the track, set for release on April 11, is an anthem for breaking free from limitations and fearlessly pursuing one’s dreams.

“Outside” is deeply personal to Keemlyf, drawing inspiration from the journey of breaking free from fear and stepping into greatness.

“It’s about pushing past self-doubt, embracing confidence, and going after your dreams with full force,” he says. “The song captures the energy and excitement of living boldly, reminding listeners that the real magic happens when you step outside your comfort zone.”

With this release, Keemlyf seeks to empower his fans to be unstoppable and chase their dreams unapologetically.

It’s his way of entertaining his fans, but also challenging them to go for their aspirations with all the resources they have.

“I want people to hear it and feel that rush of confidence, that fire to chase their dreams without hesitation. No matter where you are in life, this track is a reminder that your breakthrough happens when you dare to step beyond your fears,” he further adds.

The single comes a few months after joining the UMG EA stable – a significant milestone for the Afro-pop prodigy.

“It’s an incredible feeling! Being backed by UMG means having the support and resources to bring my vision to life on a bigger scale. It’s a dream come true, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my sound with a global audience.”

He also added that “Outside” is just one of the projects among many to come, now that he has the necessary muscles and support to make great music.

“This year is all about growth, energy, and more music! Expect more powerful anthems, visuals that bring the music to life, and live performances that will take things to another level. I’m ready to bring my sound to the world in a way that’s never been done before—so stay locked in because Keemlyf is just getting started.”
