Also, the bus company wished a steady recovery to the injured students who were admitted to the hospital.

The bus was ferrying the students to Nairobi following the closure of schools for the first term.

According to a report from Kondele Police Station, the bus driver was not found at the scene.

According to statistics from the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) collected between January 1 – March 24, 2024, pedestrians accounted for 403 deaths out of the 1,090 recorded during the period under review.

This is an increase compared to the same period last year where 343 deaths were reported.
