Squash: Top seeds eager to impress at this year’s Karen Open

Top seeds Charles Keeble and Ryan Gwidzima have expressed confidence of clinching this year’s Karen Squash Open scheduled for May 27th to 31st   at Karen Golf and Country club.

Over 50 players are set to take part in the satellite tourney which will also count towards the global ranking.

Top seed Zimbabwean Ryan Gwidzima and number two seed former British u19 champion Charles Keeble will be hoping out to carry their recent good form into this year’s karen Open.

The duo are however expected  not to easily  have it their way with stiff opposition expected from home players led by 3rd seed Muqtadir Nimji,7th seed James Dalidi and  15th seed Vivaan Sagar.

Points earned in the tournament will boost players global ranking.

The women’s category has attracted a competitive field of 20 players.

The battle for the title is set to pit top seed Polite Mubure of Zimbabwe against Kenya’s second seed Elizabeth Mulwa and Ugandan and third seed Julian Ainomugisha.

Winners will in both the men’s and women’s categories will share the 2,000 US dollars prize purse.
