Good To Go! Kasarani to host test matches in June  ahead of CHAN

The Kasarani stadium will host test matches in the month of June, two months  to the kick off of the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN).

The stadium is expected to host two to three test matches before the Africa Nations Championship that will also be hosted at the already refurbished Nyayo National Stadium.

Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya accompanied by her defence counterpart Soipan Tuya inspected the two facilities Monday and gave a progress report of Kenya’s preparations ahead of the Africa soccer showpiece.

Kenya alongside her East Africa neighbours Uganda and Tanzania will play host to the championship slated  August 2nd-30th.

The Confederation of Africa Football CAF announced the postponement of the tournament from February 2025 to August to allow host nations fix the infrastructure gaps.

Kenya has since raced with time,refurbishing Nyayo National Stadium and Moi Kasarani in time for the championship that’s fashioned for players plying trade in their respective home leagues.

The Championship,in its 8th edition will return to East Africa for the first time since Rwanda hosted it in 2016.

Kenya will be out to leave a mark on its debut and begin their quest with group A fixtures against Morrocco,Angola,Zambia and DR Congo.
