Official opening of Bunge Tower postponed to Thursday next week

The official opening of Bunge Tower has been postponed following the demise of Chief of Defence Forces General Francis Ogolla Thursday afternoon.

In a statement, Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula announced that the event, which was to take place tomorrow (Friday), has been moved to Thursday 25th April 2024.

General Ogolla died in a helicopter crash alongside nine other officers.

While announcing his demise, President William Ruto announced three days of national mourning during which, the Kenyan flag, the Kenya Defence Forces Flag, and the Eastern Africa community flag shall fly at half-mast in the Republic of Kenya and Kenya missions abroad.
