Ambassador Maangi hosts Governors Baraza and Bii in Kampala

Kenya High Commissioner to Uganda, Joash Maangi, has hailed the vital role of sports in promoting unity and regional integration.

Maangi said this today when he hosted Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii, and his Kakamega counterpart Fernandez Baraza, when he hosted them at the Kenyan mission in Kampala.

The two governors are in Kampala to attend the East African Local Authorities Cultural Association (EALASCA) Games being held in Kampala, Uganda.

Maangi emphasized on the need for the East African Community members to leverage on sports to enhance peaceful co existence and shared values of the people from the region.

The EALASCA, which began on 23rd February, will end on the 28th of this month, bringing together participants from Kenya, Burundi, Rwanda, and other East African nations.

The games aim to strengthen regional unity and celebrate the spirit of East African integration through sports and culture.
