Tanzanian R&B star Juma Jux and Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ajoke Ojo celebrated their white wedding in a dazzling ceremony held on Wednesday, May 28, at the Superdome in Masaki, Dar es Salaam.

The glamorous event marked the culmination of a cross-continental love story that has captured the imagination of fans from Lagos to Dar, blending star power, culture, and music in a unique personal celebration of love.

The bride, daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, walked down the aisle on Wednesday in a show-stopping gown by Nigerian designer Mazelle Bridal. Jux complemented her perfectly in a custom white tuxedo by T.I Nathan, another Nigerian designer, underlining the fusion of their cultures that has defined their union from the start.

This Tanzanian white wedding comes after a traditional Tanzanian wedding that took place in February and a traditional Yoruba ceremony held in Lagos in April. Both events featured rich Nigerian and Tanzanian customs and flair.

Before the Yoruba traditional ceremony that took place in April, Juma Jux proposed to Priscilla Ajoke at a lavish event; his proposal was underscored by a band of violinists.

“I’m proposing to you a second time, but this time in front of your family and dearest friends and with a ring twice the size,” Juz said at the time. “I love you with everything in me and I can’t wait to spend forever with you my love.”

Additionally, the Nigerian ceremony also served as the inspiration for Jux’s single, “God Design – King of Hearts.” The music video doubled as a visual diary of the Lagos ceremony while the Tanzanian ceremony inspired the single “Olelufe Mi” featuring Diamond.

Both singles form part of a special EP titled A Day to Remember, a heartfelt musical project chronicling the couple’s journey to marriage.

Wednesday’s celebration in Dar es Salaam brought together not only family and close friends but also a constellation of East African celebrities, including Diamond, Kenyan media personalities Bahati and Diana, Zuchu and Chibu Dangote to mention a few.
