Announcing the news via her socials Kambua said: “I went ahead and did a big thing…a beautiful thing. I collaborated with Vivo Woman to bring you a most exquisite, most luxurious collection this Mother’s Day.”

The collection is meant to celebrate the mothers and women in our lives just in time for Mother’s Day, May 12.

The “Bado Nasimama” musician has always had a special place in her heart for mothers despite her own loss.

On Sunday, Kambua highlighted the issue as she acknowledged Bereaved Mother’s Day celebrated around the world on May 5.

“Today is International Bereaved Mother’s Day, and so this gift from Treasured Scents for me and my mom completely warmed my heart. There’s something about good scents that pulls at my heartstrings. I’m sending hugs to every angel mom,” she said.

In 2021, Kambua disclosed publicly that she had lost her son Malachi who was only one day old. In 2023, she revealed she had lost two other babies before that.

She has two children Nathaniel and Natalie, the latter born in 2022.

The collection is available for presale ahead of the launch.

“As we celebrate our moms and the women in our lives, make this collection a part of it.
You can also join the VIP list to get it before launch day!”

To mark the launch, Vivo will upload a video of Kambua and her mother in conversation.

“With Mother’s Day just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the essence of motherhood. Watch Kambua sharing her admiration for her mum’s resilience in our upcoming conversation on motherhood.” the brand wrote.
